Our Projects
Carbonsate's projects come with a set of co-benefits while the complexities of the local ecosystems are considered. We work with local partners in research, forest- and nature management to ensure we fully understand and reflect the environmental impacts of our actions.
01
The Berlin Project
The Berlin project is Carbonsate’s only German project. Supported by the German Ministry for Economic Affairs, we provide affordable local climate action. Buying credits from this project has a sizeable catalytic impact, boosting research in our Berlin headquarters.
02
The Bulgaria Project
In Pernik, Bulgaria, Carbonsate implements its largest project that generates affordable European credits. The region is characterized by open pit mines resulting from heavy industry. Forest residuals from wildfires are used to fill the pit mines while regenerating nature.
The Cameroon Project is a unique initiative that combines biomass storage with solar energy and community-driven development to address both environmental and social challenges in Cameroon. The project utilizes wood residues from a sawmill for long-term carbon storage. Solar panels are built on top of the storage site to provide reliable electricity to the village.
